    Clean, bright and quirky accommodation.

We were located on the first floor under the bar, there was a lot of noise :(

We were fortunate to have a room on an upper floor with views of the river. Our room was small, but that is what you expect of a cabin on a boat. Comfortable bed. Quite a few English channels on the TV. Shower gel on the wall in the bathroom. Clean towels every day. The whole of the Botel was clean, tidy and airy. A good breakfast. All the staff were hard working, patient and helpful. A good location. Free 10 min ferry ride every half hour to the center. So the Botel is close enough to town, but far enough away for a peaceful night. When we woke in the mornings all we could hear were the ducks on the river. Very interesting to watch the various working boats and the passenger liners gliding by.

No tea or coffee in the room. 2 or 3 euros a cup from the bar. I would not have liked to have a downstairs room, as there would be no view.

    Very good

Nice placement with good acces to ferry. Good restaurant/Cafè close by ferry. Serviceminded personel and nice breakfast.

Small bathrooms. Not for xxl-persons at all. Tight cabins. Had a singl room, but two beds. Made it a bit over-furnished.

Nice hotel, good location. City centre was easy to reach by the ferry. Rooms were casual but clean. Free parking was good, there are not so many hotels with free parking in Amsterdam.

    Very good

The price and free parking were the main reason we chose this hotel. The free ferry to the city was a great ammenity.

    Rooms not smoke free.

    Exceptional

The hotel is in an amazing location - nice friendly character and amazing value for money

Very basic rooms for the price - and a bit cramped. Needs a good refurbishment throughout - fixture and fittings look original 60s and not very good condition.

The breakfast was basic. Generally the staff were not helpful and seemed to find customers an unwelcome interruption. We were looking forward to this stay but were disappointed.

    Very good

The location was fantastic. Sleeping on a ship was an adventure. Transportation to central station on the free ferry, fantastic, since we were all on a budget. I would recommend the Botel, but would emphasis it is a "budget" hotel no frills, no luxury

I didn't like that they charged my card before we arrived. There was three famliies/couples and they were each going to pay for their own room, instead they charged my card for all three. The staff attitude when we checked in was not that nice. The morning shift was much more friendlier but none of the staff went out of their way to assist you. We had the room on the end and it was shorter than the other rooms and we kept banging our hips on the vanity shelf to go around the end of the bed to get to the bathroom or the exit. The rest of the group didn't have that problem their rooms were bigger.

The Amstel Botel it's a hotel on the boat which makes it interesting especially after few drinks. Comfortable bed.

    Shower, poor quality.

    Fabulous

Free parking and easy access to downtown Amsterdam via free ferry.

    Fabulous

The staff were very helpful, especially the bar man! The room was comfortable, not huge but adequate, and the setting was lovely. There was no noise from traffic and it made for a very nice stay. The free ferry to the central station was great and made transport into the city centre very easy. Would definitely stay here again.
