    Fabulous

Its located quite a bit away from the centre od amsterdam but there is a free ferry that takes 10 mins from the botel to central station so its perfect. The rooms are basic but clean and sheets towels changed everyday. The staff are friendly and thers a pool table and things, its basic but if u are after a place to rest yr head and keep yr stuff whilst u enjoy amsterdam at value 4 money look no further. Compared to some off the hotels in amsterdam this place is the ritz lol.

    Exceptional

We have stayed at the Botel in Amsterdam twice this year , and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone . The service is excellent and all the staff very thorough and friendly . I have no more problems and look forward to staying there again .

Nothing that I didn't like . One thing I would suggest though , would be to have tea/ coffee facilities in the rooms . I enjoy a cup of tea when I wake up , so missed it while staying at The Botel .

The place and the environment; that is why we booked the room in the first place.

    Fabulous

The staff were great - among the most helpful & accommodating I've ever encountered (and I've travelled a lot) and the Botel is good value for money. It was clean, warm and comfortable and I was very pleased with it. The location is not inconvenient even though they've moved further away: At the time of writing, the direct ferry (to the ndsm Wharf, left- most dock) runs every 30 mins from 9am-midnight after which you take an alternative ferry and call the shuttle bus - so you'll need a cell phone - but these are all free of charge (ask at the front desk for more details). I would stay there again.

    Very good

Despite being only really accessible via the ferry shuttle it was still convenient to the city and offered a different experience. Having stayed in a budget hotel in Amsterdam previously the rooms were of reasonable proportions.

It was not clear how you accessed the minibus shuttle for stays in Amsterdam later than the last night ferry. To be fair I didn't ask the question at reception as we were only there 2 night and had a very early start on the Sunday.

    Very good

We enjoyed being on the water, and the ferry service was very reliable.

The check-in time was late considering that we arrived early in the morning from the airport.

It would be good to have tea and coffee facililities in rooms.

    Very good

The location was great. We stayed there to pick up customers coming in to Amsterdam on a cruise liner. With a free car park and a 10 min free ferry over to the main station, this is a great way to get into Amsterdam. Would definately recommend this hotel. They provide a cooked breakfast as well as continental. The rooms are small and basic but for one or two nights they are fine. I might upgrade to a larger room next time I stay.

The area where the boat is situated is not great. Broken glass in car park, and run down but you're not there for the location of the hotel when the ferry is on your doorstep over to Amsterdam.

    Fabulous

Nice location, close to the ferry link, quiet atmosphere, flexible check out.

Car Park wasn't secured, there was plenty of broken car-glass on a tarmac. I was afraid to leave my vehicle there. Room was very small.

Liked being on the water , and taking the ferry , the hotel was clean and met our needs well

    Good

We chose this hotel because of its location as we had a family meeting nearby. Besides that the price was very reasonable and you are in the city centre within 10/15 minutes which is not a problem for us.

A group of German young people stayed in the hotel and were very noisy at night, actually we could not sleep until approx. 4.30 a.m. and obviously nor the hotel staff nor the people who accompanied the young people said a word.

    Very good

The botel was convenient and the staff friendly.

The rooms were very small. I would like to point out that to get to the hotel you need to walk out the back door of Centraal Station, cross the road , turn left and take the last ferry (there are 4 different ferries)

  • 7.8
    Fabulous

I liked that you could easily drive to the botel without dealing with any intercity traffic or roads, and yet with round the clock ferry service (a ferry each 20 min), you are quickly delivered (~ 10 min ride) to the heart of Amsterdam downtown (main train station). The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful and car parking and ferry service was free! I would definitely stay again.

The rooms are small, outdated, and the whole hotel is a boat so you can feel it moving sometimes...but all things considered its a fun experience that is different from the normal hotel.
